In addition to his company responsibilities, 1996 Dennis was elected as the first Chairman of the World Insurance Network (WIN). He has also served as a Deputy Chairman of Lloyd’s Insurance Broking Committee for many years and is a past President of the Insurance Institute of London. Dennis served as Chairman of Troika Insurance (the company established by the UK Government after the WTC event to provide third party war and terrorism cover for passenger airlines).
In 1983, Dennis successfully completed the PMD course at Harvard Business School.

Patrick W. Kenny joined the International Insurance Society, Inc., as President and Chief Executive Officer in June 2001. Mr. Kenny is responsible for the overall management of the IIS, a non-profit organization of insurance executives and academics, whose mission is to facilitate the worldwide transfer of ideas and innovations and to foster the development of personal networks across national and international insurance markets. Prior to joining the IIS, Mr. Kenny was the Executive Vice President of Frontier Insurance Group, Inc. in Rock Hill, Rock Hill, NY, from August 1998 to March 2001. From 1995 – 1998 he served as Senior Vice President of SS&C Technologies, a technology corporation located in Windsor, CT.

He is also a member of University of Missouri Strategic Development Board for the College of Business and the University of Notre Dame Advisory Council for University Libraries.

After serving as the local manager in Aberdeen, Scotland during the initial years of the North Sea oil boom in the early 1970’s Ian was relocated to Dubai in 1978 to establish an underwriting unit to serve the Middle East region. The secondment was to last approximately three years but Ian stayed on in the area and has recently started his 32nd year in the region.
Ian has worked in senior management positions in the UAE, Oman and Qatar, joining Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) in 1990 where for many years headed up Qatar Insurance Company’s underwriting and developmental programmes as a Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
Ian is currently the Chief Executive Officer of QIC International LLC a QFC licensed company, which owns and operates all the QIC Group’s assets outside of Qatar comprising regional branches, subsidiaries and associated companies throughout the GCC.
Ian recently spearheaded the entry of QICI into the European market, the company having applied for and been granted a licence to operate in Malta and will write both direct business and reinsurance on the island.
