Tim Proctor, formerly at ACE, will lead team specialising in catastrophic excess casualty

Aspen has established a Bermuda-based excess casualty unit to work alongside its existing excess casualty operations in Dublin. The Bermuda team will provide catastrophic excess casualty insurance to clients worldwide and will be led by Timothy Proctor who has been appointed as senior casualty underwriter reporting to Bob Patten, casualty underwriting manager.

Proctor joins Aspen from ACE Bermuda Insurance Company where he was vice president writing primarily Fortune 1000 accounts. Prior to ACE, Proctor was vice president at Starr Excess Liability International Insurance from 2003 to 2007 writing excess casualty insurance for a variety of industry groups in the Fortune 2000. From 1999 to 2003 Proctor was vice president, underwriting manager for the P&C department at Chubb Atlantic Indemnity, where he began underwriting excess casualty insurance for Fortune 2000 companies.

Proctor spent his first 9 years in the insurance industry as a casualty broker, working for Alexander & Alexander from 1990 to 1995 and then for J&H Marsh Global Broking Bermuda from 1995 to 1999.
