Carroll joins Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance from Zurich, Sullivan joins from Hartford Financial


Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance has appointed Leo Carroll senior vice-president, healthcare professional liability, and William Sullivan as vice-president, construction casualty.

Carroll joins from Zurich, where he was North America senior vice-president and head of healthcare professional liability.

Sullivan was most recently Hartford Financial Services Group assistant vice-president, construction wrap-up and strategic business development.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance executive vice-president David Bresnahan said: “These seasoned executives will lead our efforts in the key healthcare and construction markets.

“Leo’s extensive experience will be especially beneficial to healthcare customers as they navigate the changing exposures ahead. Bill brings to our team an expansive background in construction underwriting, marketing and product development.”
