The British Virgin Islands Insurance Association has announced the appointment of Conor Jennings as its new President.

Mr Jennings of HWR Insurance Management Services brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry to the role having worked in Dublin, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Guernsey. Before he left Guernsey in 2002 he was the Vice President of the Guernsey Insurance Captive Managers Association. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Fellow of the Institute of Risk Managers.

The BVI boasts in excess of 300 insurance companies registered and managed in the jurisdiction. BVI has experienced marked growth in its captive sector and now ranks fourth after Bermuda, Guernsey and Cayman.
