Monopoli Sigorta will join Acrisure’s international platform while continuing to operate under its existing brand and leadership team
Acrisure has entered the Turkish market through a strategic partnership with Monopoli Sigorta.

The agreement will see Istanbul-based Monopoli Sigorta join Acrisure’s international platform, while continuing to operate under its existing brand.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Monopoli Sigorta’s co-founders, Erol Esentürk and İzzet Bonofiyel, will continue to lead the business as CEO and COO, respectively.
Founded more than 25 years ago and headquartered in Maslak, Istanbul, Monopoli Sigorta serves corporate and individual clients through a diversified insurance portfolio and a network of business partners.
The company was among the first Turkish insurance intermediaries to attract institutional private equity capital, following investment from EMF Capital Partners in 2016.
Acrisure said the partnership brings together Monopoli Sigorta’s local market expertise and relationships with Acrisure’s capabilities across insurance, technology, data analytics and international risk advisory.
The US-based insurance and financial services platform said its resources will support Monopoli Sigorta in delivering broader risk insight, enhanced operational capabilities and more sophisticated insurance solutions to clients.
Acrisure said the partnership would also strengthen Monopoli Sigorta’s ability to serve insurance company partners through improved data, reporting, operational efficiency and AI-supported infrastructure.
Jason Howard, president of Acrisure International, said: “I am delighted to welcome Monopoli Sigorta to Acrisure as our Turkish partner.
“Establishing our first presence in the region has long been a priority for Acrisure.
“Erol and Izzet share our entrepreneurial mindset, our commitment to sustainable growth, and our dedication to placing clients at the centre of everything we do.
“We are looking forward to working with the entire team to build on this deep local foundation and to identify further opportunities for growth together.
“Here’s to a long and successful partnership.”
Monopoli Sigorta has developed a number of differentiated initiatives in the Turkish insurance intermediary market, including its portfolio acquisition framework, in-house business partnership programme and proprietary partner platform supporting business partners across the country.
Esentürk and Bonofiyel said: “Today is a moment of deep pride and great excitement for us.
“Twenty-five years ago, we set out to build an insurance intermediary defined by trust, long-term relationships and a genuine commitment to the people we serve.
“Everything Monopoli Sigorta has become has been built together with our exceptional team and with the support of our clients, insurance company partners and business partners.
“We are also grateful to EMF Capital Partners, our partner for the past decade, whose support played an important role in strengthening Monopoli Sigorta’s institutional development and preparing us for this next chapter.
“Joining forces with Acrisure marks an exciting new stage in our journey.
“It represents continuity in leadership, culture and values, while giving us access to broader expertise, stronger capabilities and a truly global perspective.
“Together, we are even better positioned to create value for our clients, partners and colleagues in Türkiye.
“This is a proud moment for Monopoli Sigorta and a meaningful one for the Turkish insurance sector.
“We are grateful for everything that has brought us here and excited about the opportunities ahead.”
John Richards, COO of EMF Capital Partners and outgoing director of Monopoli Sigorta, said: “We are proud of the journey Monopoli Sigorta has taken since EMF Capital Partners first invested in 2016.
“Over the past decade, the company has undergone a significant strategic evolution.
“As Monopoli enters this new chapter, we wish Acrisure every success in stewarding this exceptional business through its next phase of growth.”
