The broker’s move marks Acrisure Re’s first investment in Latin America and coincides with the official launch of the Acrisure brand in Brazil, reflecting its broader strategy to expand the firm’s reinsurance footprint globally.

In her new role, Ximenez (pictured) will report to Thomaz Menezes, CEO of Acrisure Brasil.

She will be responsible for establishing Acrisure Re’s local operations, shaping its facultative reinsurance strategy, and coordinating with retail property and casualty business leaders across the region.

She will also sit on the executive committee of Acrisure Brasil.

The new entity will work in close alignment with Acrisure Re’s international network, supporting the continued development of its reinsurance business worldwide.

Ximenez joins from rival intermediary Lockton, where she served as placement director.

She brings more than 15 years’ experience in the re/insurance sector, including previous roles as property and casualty director at JLT Re and facultative underwriter at Odyssey Re.

“Isabella’s experience and leadership will be instrumental as we establish Acrisure Re Brasil and expand our facultative reinsurance offering across Latin America,” said Menezes.

“This appointment reflects our long-term commitment to the region and our confidence in Isabella’s ability to build a strong foundation for growth.”

Ximenez said she was excited to help shape the firm’s regional ambitions.

“I am thrilled to join Acrisure Re Brasil at such a pivotal moment in its growth,” she said.

“With a clear vision for facultative reinsurance, we are uniquely positioned to deliver innovative solutions and long-term value to clients across Latin America. I look forward to collaborating with Thomaz and the global team to build a strong and impactful business in the region.”
