Re/insurance broker’s flagship facility will increase co-insurance on eligible placements from 28.5% to 35%, including facultative reinsurance business
Aon will increase the co-insurance available through its Aon Client Treaty facility to 35% from 1 January 2027.

The facility currently provides 28.5% co-insurance on eligible business placed through Aon’s Global Broking Centre and facultative reinsurance business.
Aon said the expansion followed increased client demand for committed capacity and support from market partners.
Where permitted by local regulation and subject to eligibility, the ACT Client Dividend of 1.5% will also apply to the larger 35% share.
Joe Peiser, CEO of Risk Capital at Aon, said: “As the risks our clients face grow more complex and interconnected, efficient access to risk capital has never been more important.
“Increasing ACT to 35% gives clients greater efficiency and confidence when placing their risks.”
The facility is led by QBE and backed by Lloyd’s syndicates.
Clients using ACT access its capacity on the same terms and pricing as the lead placement and may also be eligible for the dividend.
Aon said the expansion is particularly significant for facultative reinsurance, which the facility has supported since late 2025.
Insurers placing large or complex individual risks through Aon will be able to access committed capacity for a larger proportion of each eligible placement.
Helene Madell, CEO of Global Broking Center at Aon, said: “ACT continues to evolve with what our clients need.
“Facultative reinsurance has quickly become one of the facility’s most important areas of growth and moving to 35% allows us to build on that momentum for clients.”
ACT has placed more than $5bn in gross written premium since its launch in 2016.
Aon said the facility forms part of its wider investment in broking and claims technology alongside Aon Digital Placement Exchange, Aon Broker Copilot and Aon Claims Copilot.
