Promotion at London market re/insurer strengthens Lloyd’s oversight as syndicates expand

Arch Insurance International has promoted Chris Fairs to head of agency management at Arch Managing Agency Limited (AMAL).

Its AMAL division is responsible for overseeing Lloyd’s-related operations and business plan approvals.

Fairs (pictured) will support its Lloyd’s syndicates 2012 and 1955 and serve as a key contact for Lloyd’s regulatory engagement.

He is based in London and reports to chief risk officer Tom Rivers.

He joined Arch in 2022 as agency manager, having previously served as group company secretary at Argenta Private Capital and held various regulatory roles at Lloyd’s.

“His deep understanding of the market environment and his position as a key liaison in our ongoing relationship with Lloyd’s make him exceptionally well suited for this critical role.”
