Cox appointed class underwriter as MGA expands financial and professional lines portfolio
Arrow Risk Management has launched an international professional indemnity practice and appointed Nick Cox (pictured) as class underwriter.

The new unit forms part of Arrow’s financial and professional lines portfolio and will write business across the UK and selected international markets.
The underwriting focus will include design and construct risks, intermediaries and surveyors, alongside architects, engineers and solicitors.
Capacity for the managing general agent (MGA) is provided by a panel of A-rated Lloyd’s syndicates, the firm said.
Cox brings more than 35 years of experience in the London professional indemnity market.
He joins from WRB Underwriting, where he was class underwriter, having joined the business in 2005.
His previous roles include underwriting positions at CNA Re and Chubb.
He has also been closely involved in market work through the IUA’s professional indemnity forum.
Policies will be written on Arrow’s MGA platform, using its operational infrastructure and data capabilities.
Mark Harrington, chief underwriting officer at Arrow, said Cox was a “highly respected underwriter with a strong track record in professional indemnity”.
“Nick brings deep technical expertise and a reputation among brokers for being proactive and solution focused. We are delighted to welcome him to Arrow as we build out this new capability,” Harrington said.
Cox said the platform offered a strong base for growth.
“Arrow has created an environment that combines high-quality capacity with a robust, data-led underwriting infrastructure,” said Cox.
There are clear opportunities in the PI market and I’m looking forward to building a diversified portfolio on these foundations,” he added.
