Augment Risk has partnered with Cohen & Company in a new joint venture to connect reinsurance clients with insurance-linked securities (ILS) capital.

The agreement is designed to combine the flexibility of traditional placements with ILS capacity, aiming to accelerate access to capital for casualty business, according to Augment Risk.

Cohen & Company managing director John Butler said the partnership would “reduce typical barriers” and “create long-term value”.
