B.P. Marsh & Partners has announced a series of senior leadership changes as part of its long-term succession plan.

Brian Marsh founded the venture capital business in 1989 and has served as executive chairman since its 2006 listing.

Under the new plans he has stepped back from his executive role and becomes non-executive chairman with immediate effect.

Dan Topping, formerly chief investment officer, has been appointed CEO.

He joined the group in 2007 and became a director in 2011.

He has overseen the portfolio and investment strategy since taking the CIO role in 2016, working with the board and investment team to source, structure and support investments.
