She will be based in London and report to Simon Schnorr, head of marine and energy at Chaucer.

She will be responsible for shaping the group’s underwriting strategy across renewable energy lines and supporting clients’ energy transition goals.

Her remit includes managing her team and contributing to broader strategic initiatives within Chaucer’s energy division.

Ray joins Chaucer from The Fidelis Partnership, where she led renewable energy underwriting for four years.

She previously worked as a property treaty underwriter at Agora Syndicate 3268, having started her reinsurance career at Tamesis DUAL.

Schnorr said Ray’s appointment would strengthen Chaucer’s position in the global energy market.

“Chaucer is a global leader in the energy market, and Jordan’s expertise, dedication and enthusiasm will help us maintain our position as the preferred partner in this sector,” he said.

“Her strong ambition and impressive drive will be instrumental as we expand our portfolio and deliver outstanding renewable and energy transition solutions to our clients.

“I’m excited to welcome her to the team.”
