Everest appoints Busti to lead North America treaty reinsurance

Everest Group has appointed Jason Busti as head of North America treaty reinsurance, as the reinsurer strengthens leadership across one of its core regional portfolios.

Busti (pictured) will lead Everest’s treaty reinsurance operations across the United States, Bermuda and Canada.

He will report to Jill Beggs, exeutive vice president and CEO of reinsurance, and joining her leadership team.

Busti joins from AXIS Re, where he served as president of North America, overseeing treaty reinsurance activities across the region.

Earlier in his career, he spent more than two decades at Swiss Re in a range of senior leadership roles, including managing director and client executive, where he was responsible for client management and broker market underwriting teams.

Beggs said Busti’s appointment reflects both his market reputation and experience managing complex portfolios.

“Jason is a highly respected leader with a deep understanding of the North American reinsurance market and a proven track record of building strong client partnerships,” she said.

“His extensive experience managing large treaty portfolios and longstanding relationships with clients and brokers across the industry make him exceptionally well positioned to lead our North America business,” she continued.

“Jason is an excellent addition to our senior leadership team, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to strengthen our offering throughout North America and deliver long-term value to our partners,” Beggs added.
