The Fidelis Partnership (TFP) has appointed Greg Bowman as CEO Bermuda as part of a series of senior appointments aimed at strengthening its operations on the island.

Greg Bowman

Bowman (pictured, top), joined TFP in 2023 and relocated to Bermuda in June.

He will also join the group executive committee.

He will retain his responsibilities as group head of ceded reinsurance, the  company said.

Mark Herget has been appointed chief underwriting officer (CUO) of insurance for Bermuda, and deputy group head of property and head of property binders.

Mark Herget

Herget (pictured after Bowman) joined TFP in 2020 and was previously deputy group head of D&F Property, Energy and Construction.

His new remit will include leading the managing general agent (MGA) group’s growth strategy for property binders.

Danny Mereu

Danny Mereu (pictured after Herget) will become deputy CUO Bermuda, with responsibility for Bermuda analytics, including portfolio performance.

Mereu joined TFP in 2023 and was previously group head of property underwriting analytics and pricing.

The appointments are subject to regulatory and immigration approvals.

They follow a series of hires and launches in Bermuda, including the appointment of Helen Wilson as CUO Reinsurance Bermuda from January, Sarah Ching as senior underwriter for international property, and the launch of two Pine Walk businesses.

These include Mezura Capital Partners, a capital solutions MGA led by Shireen Gammoh, and Adroit Underwriting, a US SME casualty reinsurance MGA led by Jeff Markowski.

John Paul O’Hare, group director of underwriting, said: “These appointments further enhance our Bermuda leadership, cementing the significant investment we have made in talent and capability over the last 18 months.”

He added: “Alongside the launch of our two Pine Walk cells, Mezura and Adroit, we have created a powerful growth engine in Bermuda.”

Bowman said: “Our expansion in Bermuda embodies TFP’s culture, moving at pace but underpinned by some of the best people and technology in the market.”

Herget added: “We have also identified Property Binders as an area of significant opportunity for TFP, and I look forward to ensuring we maintain our momentum in this space.”
