He joins in December and will be based in London, the firm said, reporting to Richard Coulson.

Dlugosch (pictured) brings more than 25 years of underwriting experience across commercial insurance and reinsurance, with a focus on major risks, general aviation and space.

He spent nearly two decades at Swiss Re in senior roles, most recently as head of aerospace for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.

He began his career at GE Insurance Solutions in 1997, eventually becoming head of aviation for direct airlines and manufacturers.

Dlugosch has held underwriting leadership posts in London, Munich, Zurich, the US, Australia and New Zealand.

He also recently completed a two-year term as president of the International Union of Aerospace Insurers, having served on its executive council for more than a decade.

Coulson, Fidelis Partnership’s deputy group chief underwriter and CEO of insurance, said the appointment will strengthen the firm’s specialty offering.

“Against a backdrop of strong projected market growth as well as increasing risk complexity and volatility, clients need nimble, innovative and high-conviction underwriting more than ever,” he said.

“Oliver’s deep sector specialism and extensive global experience will prove invaluable as we continue to enhance TFP’s underwriting leadership,” Coulson added.

Dlugosch said he was excited to join a business recognised for technical excellence and high-conviction risk selection.

“TFP is uniquely positioned to respond to the growth opportunities and evolving client needs of today’s aviation (re)insurance market,” he said.

“I’m very excited to be joining the team as the business continues to grow its specialty proposition while setting new standards for underwriting creativity and innovation,” Dlugosch added.
