Senior hire in Atlanta, Georgia brings more than two decades of experience across London and US markets to the reinsurance broker

Gallagher Re has appointed Steven Housse as facultative reinsurance leader for North America.

Housse (pictured) joined the firm on 12 March and will lead Gallagher Re’s facultative strategy across the US and Canada.

He joins from rival re/insurance broker BMS and brings more than 20 years of experience across the London and US markets.

During his career he has held senior roles at brokers Guy Carpenter, Marsh and Brown & Brown.

In his new role, Housse will focus on developing Gallagher Re’s facultative offering for individual risks and facultative facilities across property and casualty as well as specialty lines.

Pablo Muñoz, global CEO of facultative at Gallagher Re, welcomed the appointment.

“We are very pleased to welcome Steve to Gallagher Re, and look forward to the leadership, insight, and energy he will bring to our North American facultative operations,” Muñoz said.
