Reinsurance broker promotion sees Tsimaratos take on expanded client and product oversight across global network

Gallagher Re has appointed Alkis Tsimaratos as president, international, in a move that strengthens its senior leadership across global markets.
Tsimaratos (pictured) steps into the newly expanded role having previously led International Products and Practices, where he played a central role in developing the firm’s product capabilities and sales proposition.
He is succeeded in that position by Alex Ntelekos, who will continue alongside his existing regional leadership responsibilities for Turkey and Greece.
In his new role, Tsimaratos will focus on deepening senior client relationships across international markets, aligning reinsurance solutions more closely with evolving client needs.
He will also chair both the international sales board and international products and practices for the reinsurance broker, bringing together client strategy, product expertise and execution across the business.
Dirk Spenner, CEO of Gallagher Re, international, said Tsimaratos had been instrumental in shaping the firm’s international proposition.
“Alkis has played a pivotal role in building our Products and Practices proposition and enhancing our sales capabilities across International,” said Spenner.
“He combines strategic perspective with a sharp commercial focus and longstanding client and market relationships, along with the ability to address the risk and growth challenges facing clients across international markets,” he said.
Spenner added that the appointment reflects the firm’s broader ambitions across its international platform.
“His appointment as President reflects our ambition to further support our clients and partners while accelerating growth across our international network,” he added.
