Hua (pictured) will have dual reporting lines to Will Goldberg, chief of staff, LatAm and US, and Mike Burle, global lines leader for war and terrorism.

In her new role, she will be responsible for delivering LSM’s war and terrorism offering to clients across Latin America and the US.

She will work with the specialty arm of the mutual insurer global team and broking partners to support clients as they navigate what the insurer described as an increasingly complex geopolitical risk landscape.

Hua joined Liberty in 2020 and has since become a key member of the war and terrorism team.

She brings a decade of prior insurance market experience, alongside what the company described as strong risk expertise, deep market knowledge and established broker relationships.

Burle said: “Lillian is a great asset to the war and terrorism team and her proven track record at Liberty provides her with a strong foundation to succeed in her new role: we congratulate her on her promotion.

“We are fundamentally committed to supporting the development of internal talent and it is gratifying to see Lillian’s growth,” he added.
