Reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has named Chulmin Jang as its new Korea chief, succeeding PhilWon Jeong, who becomes chairman.
Gallagher Re has appointed Chulmin “CM” Jang as chief executive officer of its Korean operations, effective 28 May 2025.
Jang joins from Aon, where he was president of Aon Reinsurance Solutions, Korea.
He previously spent more than three decades at Korea Re, most recently as executive managing director.
During his tenure at Korea Re, Jang (pictured) played a key role in expanding the reinsurer’s business across marine, property, agriculture and international lines, as well as overseeing major account renewals.
PhilWon Jeong, who has served as CEO since Gallagher Re’s establishment in Korea, will move into the newly created role of chairman.
