Based in London, Lahrmann (pictured) began the role on 1 November 2025.

She will lead underwriting strategy for AXA XL’s international property retail business across the UK and Lloyd’s market.

Lahrmann has more than 20 years’ insurance market experience, mainly in underwriting and risk management.

She was previously underwriting manager for the international property team, a role she took on in May 2024, and joined AXA XL in 2022 from AXA UK.

Before that, she began her career at Allianz.

Ben Kinsella, head of risk managed, retail, UK and Lloyd’s, said the appointment comes amid a complex environment shaped by fluctuating property values, geopolitical instability and rising catastrophe losses.

“Sabrina and her team have a strong reputation, helping clients to effectively navigate these complexities,” he said.

“She is extremely well positioned to lead this dynamic, client-focussed team and manage this diverse book of business,” Kinsella added.
