WTW has appointed George Lewkowicz as global proposition leader for P&C capital modelling within its insurance consulting and technology business.

Lewkowicz (pictured) joined the broker in 2022 and has since led the development of the firm’s risk analytics platform, Igloo.

Based in London, he will now lead WTW’s global P&C capital modelling and reinsurance pricing solutions, with responsibility for innovation, business development and tailored solutions aimed at helping insurers better understand their risk and capital requirements.

Lewkowicz brings close to 20 years of experience in capital modelling, reinsurance pricing and reserving.

Charlie Kefford, global proposition leader, P&C insurance technology at WTW, said: “This appointment reflects our commitment to investing in exceptional talent and strengthening our capital modelling and reinsurance pricing capabilities. George brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of delivering results, which will be instrumental in enabling our clients to succeed.”

WTW said Igloo is used by more than 1,000 users across over 150 companies.

These range from single line businesses to large multi-nationals, including six of the top 10 US non-life insurers, five of the top 10 European insurers and six of the top 10 Asia-Pacific non-life insurers.

The firm added that after nearly 20 years of development and innovation, Igloo has become a common language of capital, reinsurance and risk modelling, supported by consulting and implementation services as market demands evolve.
