New role to oversee UK and MENA portfolios as insurer strengthens property offering

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) has appointed Kevin Demmon to the newly created role of property divisional director, effective 19 March 2026.
Based in London, Demmon (pictured) will report to Henry Nelson, chief underwriting officer and active underwriter for UK and MENA.
In the new role, he will take responsibility for Liberty’s UK commercial and direct and facultative international property portfolios.
LSM said this would lead to an integrated business unit and overseeing underwriting strategy and delivery across the division.
He will also be responsible for setting and executing the strategic direction for Liberty’s UK and Middle Eastg and North Africa (MENA) property operations as the insurer looks to expand its international property platform.
Demmon joins from Everest Insurance, where he served as international head of property, managing a global retail and wholesale portfolio.
He brings more than two decades of London market experience, having previously held roles at RSA, Swiss Re, XL Insurance and Zurich.
