Former Generali executive to oversee client and broker relationships across key markets
Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) has appointed James Cole as head of client and broker distribution for the UK and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
Based in London, Cole (pictured) will report to Luis Prato, president of UK & MENA for LSM, and Andrew Jackson, the carrier’s international head of client and broker distribution.
He will be responsible for managing relationships with brokers and clients across the two regions and aligning distribution strategy with LSM’s global platform.
Prato said Cole’s appointment underscored LSM’s focus on building long-term relationships.
“James’ experience in client and broker distribution will be instrumental in evolving and harmonising our approach across UK & MENA,” he said.
Cole joins from rival London market specialty lines carrier Generali Global Corporate & Commercial UK, where he spent a decade and was most recently head of distribution.
He had previously worked for nine years at Travelers in London as business development manager.
LSM said Cole would work closely with underwriting teams to ensure consistent service delivery across regions and to build on the company’s reputation for tailored solutions.
