Appointment reflects the reinsurance broker’s continued focus on island’s risk transfer market and global capital access.
Amanda Lyons has been appointed chief executive of Aon Reinsurance Solutions in Bermuda.
She will take up the post on 1 July, subject to Bermuda regulatory and immigration approvals.
Lyons (pictured), who is based on the island, will lead the growth of Aon’s reinsurance platform in Bermuda.
She will continue to serve as global product leader for reinsurance solutions alongside her new role.
Andy Marcell, Aon’s chief executive of risk capital and reinsurance, said: “Amanda is one of our premier casualty brokers and will continue to serve her clients from the island.
“Her appointment reflects Aon’s commitment to the Bermuda market and to elevating our talent as we deliver career opportunities for colleagues.
“As highlighted at our recent Market World client event in Bermuda, we have an exciting opportunity to expand client opportunities across risk capital.
“In her new role, Amanda will collaborate closely with Nick Moore, CEO of Aon Bermuda Limited, to identify and deliver innovative access to capital for Aon’s clients.”
Lyons brings what Aon described as “extensive market relationships and strong product expertise” to the role.
The firm said she will help strengthen its solutions, resources and talent following a series of Bermuda-focused appointments.
