McLarens appoints Waterman regional director for Middle East

McLarens has appointed Ollie Waterman as regional director for the Middle East, effective 1 October 2026.

Waterman (pictured) succeeds Malcolm Addy, who will retire at the end of the year after helping build McLarens’ presence in the region.

He currently serves as commercial development director, Middle East, and will take overall responsibility for the business across the region.

McLarens said he would be supported by Mahesh Ganesan, operations director, Middle East.

A chartered loss adjuster, Waterman began his career handling major and complex losses in the London market before moving to Dubai in 2022.

He later became head of property for the Middle East at a global adjusting firm, with responsibility for large losses, financial management and team leadership.

In his new role, Waterman will oversee McLarens’ property and casualty, construction and engineering, and marine and specialty lines businesses in the region, working alongside McLarens Aviation and Lloyd Warwick International.

He will also help connect the Middle East operation more closely with McLarens’ London and wider EMEA teams.

McLarens said the appointment forms part of a broader EMEA strategy focused on building a more integrated regional operation.

Waterman added: “My focus is on bringing our teams and capabilities closer together and ensuring that when the most complex losses land in this region, McLarens is the first call.”
