Conduit Holdings has appointed Stephen Postlewhite as chief underwriting officer, effective 26 January 2026.

Postlewhite (pictured) will lead underwriting strategy and oversee portfolio performance across property, casualty and specialty lines at Conduit Re.

He will also take responsibility for the firm’s outwards reinsurance programme, the reinsurer said.

He brings nearly 30 years’ industry experience, spanning underwriting, risk management and actuarial roles.

Postlewhite joins from McGill and Partners, where he was partner and head of capital solutions.

He previously served as managing director and global chief underwriting officer at QBE Re.

He spent more than 15 years at Aspen in senior leadership positions, including chief executive of both the reinsurance and insurance divisions, group chief risk officer and group chief actuary.

Conduit chief executive Neil Eckert said Postlewhite’s technical expertise and leadership would support the firm’s underwriting ambitions.

“I look forward to partnering with Stephen as we work to deliver results for our shareholders,” Eckert said.

Postlewhite said he was pleased to be joining the business.

“This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented underwriting team and build on the strong foundation they have established,” he said.

“I look forward to applying my experience and collaborating with the executive team to deliver the underwriting strategy in the years ahead.”

The appointment remains subject to Bermuda immigration approval.
