Beazley has announced that Fred Kleiterp has become its European general manager, as it continues to grow across Europe. Reporting to Adrian Cox, CEO, he will join the company on 1 June 2023 and become a member of the executive committee.
Kleiterp is joining Beazley from Swiss Re Corporate Solutions where he was EMEA CEO.
Swiss Re CorSo has appointed Nina Arquint to replace him. She will be responsible for managing the strategy, development, and performance of the company in the region’s commercial insurance markets.
“Nina is an experienced leader having headed up our Risk Management and Actuarial Reserving team since 2019. Over the past few years Nina has developed a strong profile and network in the commercial insurance market as our face for sustainability. This combination gives her the ideal background for this position,” said Andreas Berger, CEO Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
“I would like to extend my gratitude to Fred for his passion and dedication to Corporate Solutions. He has overseen the growth of the EMEA business and leaves the regional team in a very strong position supported with a wealth of talent.”
Commenting on Beazley’s appointment of Kleiterp, Adrian Cox said: “Beazley sees excellent opportunities to expand our specialist insurance offering to brokers and their clients across Europe.
”Fred Kleiterp is highly experienced in growing underwriting businesses in both Europe and Asia Pacific and underpins his growth track record with a focus on operational excellence that brokers and their clients rightly expect.
”The investment we have already made across Europe has created a successful and effective launchpad, which I believe under Fred’s leadership will develop in both scale and pace and I’m looking forward to this exciting next phase in Europe.”
