Synthetik has expanded a long-term partnership with Willis, giving the broker access to its full suite of political violence and terrorism modelling tools.

The expanded agreement will see Willis deploy Synthetik’s platforms across its political violence and terrorism offering to support client advisory and risk quantification.

The tools include AnyBuildingRisk, Cityscape, SRCC Quantum and associated data products, covering terrorism, political violence, strikes, riots and civil commotion.

Synthetik said the integration of its individual risk models into Willis’s enterprise risk management platforms would provide deeper insight into civil unrest risk and loss potential.

Brian Watson, CEO of Synthetik, suggested brokers required confidence in both data and analysis as risk conditions evolved.

“We live in an increasingly volatile risk landscape with a constantly evolving PVT threat,” Watson said.

“We are delighted to grow our relationship with a global leader like Willis, whose ongoing trust in our systems reflects both its commitment to clients and the growing market understanding of the value of Synthetik’s offerings.”

Fergus Critchley, global head of terrorism and political violence at Willis, said the expanded partnership strengthened the firm’s analytical capabilities.

“In a risk environment that is becoming more complex by the day, their advanced modelling capabilities play a key role in helping us anticipate emerging exposures and provide informed, actionable quantification,” Critchley added.
