Veteran claims specialist to spearhead the broker’s global engagement from London hub.
Willis has appointed Adrian Cousins as head of London market claims, a newly created role that forms part of the broker’s wider global claims leadership strategy.
Cousins (pictured) will continue in his existing role as head of claims for FINEX across GB, Western Europe and internationally.
He will now also lead strategic engagement with insurers, reinsurers, loss adjusters and legal advisers in the London market.
He will report to Neil Harrison, global head of claims, who said the appointment reflects the broker’s ambition to build on its specialty capabilities and scale in claims advocacy.
“We’re continuously evolving our approach to the delivery of claims services and solutions, leveraging our specialty and scale for the benefit of our clients,” said Harrison.
“Achieving our goals in this critical area of the Willis client value proposition requires proven leadership, technical expertise and strong market relationships. Adrian has delivered outstanding outcomes for Willis clients for many years and we look forward to him now taking on these broader responsibilities as part of our global claims leadership group.”
Cousins will retain his reporting line to Jeremy Wall, global head of FINEX, in relation to his ongoing responsibilities for the financial, executive and professional risk claims portfolio.
His expanded remit underscores Willis’ intention to strengthen its London claims presence as a central platform for global client service and carrier engagement.
