Hurricane Helene is on a direct course to strike Bermuda towards the end of the week. Currently a category three storm with wind speeds of up to 130 mph, Helene is set to maintain this level of intensity for the next three days, as it move towards the island. However, according to Tropical Storm Risk, the storm could then decline to a categort two status.
This is the second major storm this season to target Bermuda. The island fell foul of Hurricane Florence last week, which battered the region with 100 mph winds, although little damage was actually caused and no injuries were reported.
