Jack joins from train ticket website

Hyperion Insurance Group has appointed David Jack as chief information officer, a newly created role for the group.

Jack joins Hyperion from thetrainline.com where he spent four years as chief information officer (CIO).

Prior to thetrainline.com Jack held director positions at Betfair and a number of US software businesses including Citrix. 

Hyperion chief executive David Howden said: “With 25 years’ experience in companies that put the customer at the heart of their growth plans, David brings a strong commercial and client focus, and will galvanise our global approach to IT, systems, data and, importantly, product.”

Jack said: “Hyperion has always been a client-focused business, and I’m looking forward to building on this as the group continues to expand globally and strengthen its capabilities. As we push towards global alignment, it’s now more important than ever for us to invest in technology. Making the most of the data and other valuable assets within the group will ensure we’re equipped to deliver an outstanding customer experience.”
