Gerald Frick appointed to develop aviation relationships after 40 years at Marsh
Ironshore Specialty has signed a deal with Starr Aviation Agency which will see Starr underwrite Aviation risk for Ironshore.
At the same time, Ironshore named Gerald Frick to lead the development of insurance relationships in the specialty aviation sector. Frick joins Ironshore after 40 years at Marsh, most recently having served for ten years as global leader of the aviation practice.
The business will be written worldwide and will include airlines, aviation manufacturers, airports, Aviation refuelers, fixed base operations, corporate aircraft and other general aviation risks.
Ironshore’s CEO, Kevin Kelley, said: “Aviation is a niche specialty market that Ironshore has been targeting and our joining with Starr Aviation provides an optimal avenue for Ironshore to expand its global platform within this marketplace with skilled underwriting talent and industry leaders. This partnership entrance into the Aviation line is another way in which Ironshore is further diversifying its product base and exposure to risk.”
Ironshore will begin writing aviation business effective immediately.
