Firm continues non-catastrophe business growth with new appointments
Flagstone Re has announced several senior additions to their underwriting team as part of its global expansion plans.
Andreas Peter, Dominic Kirby, Rafael Saer, and Irshied Tayeb will join the underwriting team in senior roles.
Andreas Peter joins the team at Flagstone Re from Swiss Re, Dominic Kirby comes to Flagstone from Navigators Group, Rafael Saer joins the team from Folksamerica Re, and Irshied Tayeb, from the Dubai international financial centre authority.
Mark Byrne, chairman of Flagstone, commented: “One of our medium term objectives is to build the non-catastrophe exposed portion of our book towards 50% of the total. The growth in non-cat property business and specialty lines, which these new team members will accelerate, should help us achieve our financial goal of solid profitability with below-average volatility.”
