International General Insurance Holdings (IGIH) today announced the appointment of Simon Curtis as chief financial officer at its UK business.

Curtis was previously interim head of finance at AmTrust at Lloyd’s and brings 20 years of industry experience to the role.

Dubai-based IGIH appointed Simon as part of its bid to grow its UK operation.

IGI UK chief executive Andreas Loucaides said: “I am pleased to welcome Simon to the team and look forward to him playing an important role as our UK business continues to grow.”

IGI UK is a wholly owned subsidiary of IGIH, which also has operations in Bermuda, Jordan, Malaysia and Morocco.
