Vic Krauze replaces Don Bailey

Global broker Willis has appointed Vic Krauze as chairman and chief executive of its North American operations, reporting to group CEO Joe Plumeri.

Krauze, formerly president and chief operating officer of Willis North America, succeeds current chief Don Bailey, who is leaving the company in December after a transition period to begin a new role for a "major US personal lines insurance carrier", the company said.

Willis has also appointed Todd Jones, formerly national partner for the northeast region, as president of Willis North America, reporting to Krauze.

Krauze joined Willis in January 1997 as a producer and was soon promoted to president and CEO of the company’s Minnesota operations. In July 2003, he was named national partner of the Great Lakes Region, which became part of the company’s larger Central Region in 2006 under Krauze’s leadership. He was appointed COO of Willis North America in February 2008 and was also named president in August 2009.

Jones has served as the national partner for the northeast region since 2007. He previously served as the North American practice leader for Willis’s executive risks practice.
