The hire brings over three decades of underwriting experience to the role

Zurich Insurance Group has promoted Hayley Robinson from UK chief underwriting officer to the role of group chief underwriting officer.

Robinson will take up her new role on 1 June, based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Before joining Zurich in 2018, Robinson held management roles in underwriting at RSA and Aviva. In doing so, she has acquired experience of insurance markets across the globe, including a focus on the UK, Europe, emerging markets and the US.

In her new role, Robinson will oversee the underwriting function across the group, while aiming to ensure underwriters are well-positioned to make appropriate risk selection decisions.

Robinson will report to Sierra Signorelli, who was recently named chief executive for commercial insurance.

Organic growth

Robinson holds a bachelor’s degree from Southampton University and can speak fluent Spanish.
