Singapore-based executive joins from Guy Carpenter to take on newly created regional managing director role
Gallagher Re has appointed Luc Morement as managing director, facultative, Asia Pacific, effective 3 August.
Based in Singapore, Morement (pictured) will lead the reinsurance broker’s facultative business across the region.
He will report to Pablo Muñoz, CEO of facultative, and work with Gallagher Re’s existing facultative leaders in Asia Pacific to strengthen the regional platform.
The newly created role will also support the continued growth of the firm’s global facultative business.
Morement joins Gallagher Re from rival reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter, where he most recently served as managing director.
He brings extensive experience in facultative reinsurance across Asia Pacific and has worked with clients and market partners throughout the region.
Muñoz said: “Luc’s appointment underscores our commitment to expanding our facultative capabilities across Asia Pacific.
“His deep market experience in facultative reinsurance, strong regional relationships and proven leadership will further strengthen our platform and support our ambition to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients across the region,” he added.
