Guy Carpenter appoints Enoizi as CEO of Europe

Julian Enoizi has taken up the role of CEO of Europe for Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance broking arm of Marsh McLennan has announced.

He will report to Laurent Rousseau, CEO of Guy Carpenter Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Global Capital Solutions.

Enoizi is a former CEO of Pool Re, the UK government run terrorism reinsurance fund, from 2013 until April 2022, when he joined Guy Carpenter.

He will continue his responsibilities as global leader for the broker’s public sector solutions practice until a successor for that role is announced, and will continue to be based in London.

Before Pool Re he held senior roles at Chubb and AIG Europe, before becoming CEO of CNA Europe and later appointed president and CEO of Argo International.

In New York, Dorothee Mélis-Moutafis who has served as interim CEO of Guy Carpenter Europe, since April, will take on a new executive role where she will be responsible for strategic C-suite engagement for current and prospective clients, while also continuing in her role as a global account executive.

Mélis-Moutafis joined Guy Carpenter in 2013 and has held a succession of senior management positions in Europe and the US, most recently as interim CEO of Guy Carpenter Europe and Chief Operating Officer of Guy Carpenter North America. She will remain close to the European business as she supports Julian and Laurent in their transition.
