Hancock (pictured) has spent more than six years in executive leadership roles at AIG and has a 40-year insurance career.

As senior advisor, he will report to Eric Andersen, president and CEO of AIG, and support selected strategic and growth initiatives.

He will also continue to serve on the boards of Talbot Underwriting, AIG UK and Tata AIG General Insurance Company.

AIG said Hancock will provide support to leaders across the business, with a focus on underwriting excellence and developing the next generation of underwriting talent.

Hancock joined AIG in 2020 as executive vice president and CEO of international insurance.

He was appointed executive vice president and CEO of general insurance in 2025.

Before joining AIG, Hancock was director of performance management at Lloyd’s from 2016 to 2020, overseeing performance and global risk management.

Earlier in his career, he spent 26 years at RSA in senior leadership roles.

Andersen said: “Jon has played an important leadership role in repositioning our business, strengthening underwriting performance, enhancing our relationships with clients and partners, and advancing our talent and culture around the world.”

He added: “He has been a trusted partner to me and to our executive leadership team as we have continued to build on AIG’s momentum and deliver value for our stakeholders.”

Hancock said: “It has been a privilege to be part of AIG and to contribute to its storied history.

“I feel privileged to have worked alongside such talented and dedicated colleagues, whose commitment to AIG’s clients and partners is inspiring.

“I am incredibly proud of all that we have accomplished together,” he added.
