Price Forbes has announced Chris Harris as a new managing director and head of US casualty, effective immediately.

In his new role at the broker, Harris will lead and manage its US casualty team, responsible for setting strategic direction and driving growth.
He joins from broking rival Howden and brings more than three decades of industry experience to the role
Previously he served as divisional director of US casualty for Howden, and has previously held senior positions at leading brokerages including Bowring Marsh and BMS.
Over the course of his career, he has experience producing and placing US casualty business across London, European and Bermuda markets.
In addition to his broking background, Harris has held underwriting roles with several managing general agents.
John Thompson, CEO, Price Forbes Broking, said: “Chris brings considerable leadership experience having navigated the US casualty market through multiple cycles from both an underwriting and broking perspective.
“This allows him to anticipate client challenges and deliver meaningful solutions in the most challenging circumstances, drawing on underwriter relationships built over more than 30 years. I’m confident Chris will be an invaluable asset as we pursue the next phase of growth in this important class and I am delighted to welcome him to the team.”
Harris added: “Price Forbes’ long-standing relationships with independent US wholesalers and retailers reflect the kind of business I know well, which makes this a natural fit.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know colleagues across both the Price Forbes and Ardonagh platforms and finding ways we can support each other - mentoring in particular is something I value and expect to play a part in as I settle into the role.”
