In a newly created role, the former Aon US co-head will lead AIG’s enterprise-wide relationships with key global clients and distribution partners
AIG has appointed Christine Williams as head of global client and broker relationships, effective 1 September.

Williams (pictured) will report to Jon Hancock, executive vice president and CEO of general insurance at AIG.
She will be based in New York for the newly created role, leading AIG’s enterprise-wide relationships with key global clients and distribution partners.
AIG said she will work across the company to deliver its capabilities, expertise and risk solutions to clients, while supporting strategic growth opportunities across its insurance businesses.
Williams joins AIG from Aon, where she served as co-head of Aon US and was a member of Aon’s executive committee.
During more than two decades at Aon, she held senior leadership roles in the US and internationally, with responsibility for growth, client insight and the delivery of integrated solutions.
Hancock said: “Christine Williams is a highly accomplished insurance executive recognized across the industry for her track record of driving growth and strengthening client relationships.
“I look forward to welcoming Christine to AIG as we further connect our global capabilities with the evolving needs of our clients and partners.”
Williams added: “I am honored to join AIG at this meaningful moment as the Company enters the next chapter in its impressive journey.
“AIG’s global scale, deep technical expertise and diversified businesses are distinct competitive advantages, and I look forward to working with AIG’s talented teams around the world to serve our clients and partners.”
