Hanrahan will continue to report to Jim Williamson, Everest president and CEO.

He will also remain a member of Everest’s executive leadership team.

In his new role, Hanrahan (pictured) will lead Everest’s global distribution strategy and key commercial relationships across its insurance and reinsurance businesses.

Everest said he will work with business leaders to support the company’s client and broker relationships worldwide.

Hanrahan was most recently head of US retail insurance, leading Everest’s portfolio across commercial property, casualty, financial lines and industry practice solutions.

He joined Everest in 2024 as northeast regional executive officer.

He has also served as head of North America field operations, leading Everest’s four US retail regions and strengthening underwriting, service, claims and distribution capabilities.

Williamson said: “Craig is a highly respected leader with deep market relationships and a proven track record of delivering results.

“As we continue to strengthen our global distribution capabilities, Craig’s leadership will deepen our partnerships, deliver greater value to clients and brokers, and advance our disciplined growth strategy.

“His collaborative approach and industry experience make him the right leader to strengthen Everest’s position as a partner of choice across the global insurance and reinsurance marketplace,” he added.
