Kim Plant joins the broker from Amwins as Miller continues to build its US and Canada wholesale property business
Miller has appointed Kim Plant as head of North American property.
Plant (pictured) joins the independent specialist re/insurance broker from Amwins, where he had served as a director in its North American property division since 2020.
He brings relationships across the North American property market in both the US and Canada.
Plant began his insurance career in the property team at Lockton in 2015, after 13 years of military service in the British Army’s Grenadier Guards.
At Miller, Plant will lead the broker’s North American property proposition from London and Bermuda.
He will work closely with Matthew Keeping, managing director, head of property and casualty, to continue building long-term client partnerships across the US and Canada.
Miller said the appointment reflects its commitment to scaling its North American wholesale business.
It follows the appointment of Paul Jenkins as senior director in the broker’s US property team in January 2026.
Keeping said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Kim aboard at this significant juncture in the buildout of our North American Property offering.
“We have achieved exponential growth in our business across the US and Canada over the past three years and see significant opportunities to continue gaining market share through our deep specialism, differentiated culture of service excellence and clear focus on a compelling wholesale proposition.
“With his extensive market expertise and long-standing relationships, Kim is perfectly positioned to lead our Property proposition in the region as we continue to respond to increasing demand for our services.”
Plant said: “It’s a pleasure to be joining Miller at this exciting time of growth for its North American Property Business.
“Miller is establishing a standout reputation through its distinct model based on specialty at scale and its genuine commitment to client service, and I look forward to working with Matt and the team to continue building on this strong foundation.
“In a market defined by downward rate pressure and increased retail competition for domestic players, Miller is very well positioned to capture market share and to continue growing its exceptionally strong Property pipeline,” he added.
