WTW has restructured its EMEA Insurance Consulting and Technology business, creating dedicated property and casualty and life divisions as it seeks to accelerate AI adoption and respond to growing client demand for technology-led solutions.

The changes establish separate EMEA P&C and EMEA Life businesses, aimed at deepening expertise, improving delivery consistency and scaling innovation across the region.

As part of the restructure, Tim Rourke has been appointed EMEA P&C leader, while Michael Klüttgens becomes EMEA Life leader.

The firm said the new structure reflects both the scale of demand for integrated insurance and technology solutions and the need to embed AI more fully across the value chain.

Frank Schepers (pictured), global leader of Insurance Consulting and Technology at WTW, said the changes are designed to position the business for its next phase of growth.

“Strengthening our P&C and Life leadership reflects the scale of demand for integrated, technology enabled insurance solutions across EMEA,” he said.

“Tim and Michael bring exceptional client insight, deep industry expertise and proven leadership,” he continued.

“Together, they will help drive our next phase of growth as we sharpen our focus on the unique needs of our clients and accelerate AI adoption across the insurance value chain,” he added.

Rourke brings more than 25 years of experience to the role and most recently served as UK head of P&C pricing, product, claims and underwriting within the business.

He will focus on driving regional growth, enhancing collaboration across EMEA offices and connecting WTW’s AI and innovation capabilities to evolving client needs.

Klüttgens, previously divisional leader for Northern and Central Europe, takes on responsibility for strengthening the firm’s life consulting proposition, with a focus on analytics, AI enablement and end-to-end technology solutions.

Alongside the leadership changes, Tammy Richardson will move into a broader role focused on executing WTW’s global AI transformation strategy.

Schepers said Richardson had played a key role in building the regional business.

“We take this opportunity to thank Tammy for successfully leading the region during the last four years and the central role she has played in the evolution and growth of the business,” he said.

“In her new position, Tammy will lead in ensuring AI is successfully embedded across the organisation, as well as overseeing the development and delivery of transformative client technologies and propositions,” he added.
