The Alstom executive steps into the Scor role, which has been vacant for three years

Scor has appointed Nicolas Tissot as chief operating officer (COO).

Tissot, who joins from Alstom where he held the position of financial director, took up his post at Scor on 31 August. He will report in to chairman and chief executive Denis Kessler.

Kessler stated that Tissot would be a major asset to Scor as he brought many years of managerial and financial skills to the table, and added: “The SCOR group is delighted to welcome Nicolas Tissot, who will be in charge of rolling out the means necessary to reinforce the Group’s operational excellence.”

Tissot succeeds Julien Carmona who was appointed in 2009 and left in 2012 – to date Kessler has been serving as interim COO.
