Two more senior broker appointments at Aon in London, adding to a slew of recent appointments.

Aon has announced two senior promotions in its UK commercial risk business, naming Michelle Beverely as chief broking officer and Lucy Gleeson as head of products and facilities.

Both appointments are effective immediately, with Beverely and Gleeson based in London and reporting to Rob Kemp, CEO of commercial risk for Aon UK.

The latest appointments add to news last week that Aon had appointed Simon Chisholm in Singapore to chairman of Asia reinsurance, Nick Nudo in Chicago to lead US casualty reinsurance business, and Anshuman Srivastava as its London-based reinsurance global chief broking officer.

Beverely brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, having spent most of her career at Aon in broking positions and most recently as head of corporate broking for UK retail.

As chief broking officer, she will oversee Aon’s UK commercial risk broking strategy, leading efforts to align broking activity with client needs and strengthen insurer relationships.

Her remit includes promoting innovation and consistency across the firm’s portfolio, working closely with insurers to secure the best outcomes for clients.

Gleeson joined Aon in 2022 and has led the structured portfolio solutions team, developing and managing key UK facilities for clients across all segments.

She previously held roles at HSBC and Willis Towers Watson, bringing both technical and market expertise to her new position.

In her new role, she will lead the products and facilities team to expand Aon’s capabilities and deepen relationships with clients and market partners.

Kemp said the appointments underscored Aon’s focus on developing talent and delivering client excellence.

“Both appointments reflect Aon’s commitment to provide excellence for our clients, and we take pride in Aon’s status as a home for talent,” he said.

“Michelle’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the commercial risk UK team, and given her strong track record and leadership capabilities, I’m excited to see how she shapes the role moving forwards.”

“I’m equally delighted to see Lucy move into her new role and am confident that she will expand the products and facilities team to enhance our market capabilities whilst also deepening client relationships.”
