McInally has also been appointed CEO of Pine Walk Capital Limited, subject to regulatory approval.

The appointments come as Pine Walk has grown to support 18 MGAs and $1.6bn of written premium.

Williams joins from SCOR and will oversee underwriting across the Pine Walk platform, while also supporting growth and cross-selling with the wider Fidelis Partnership.

McInally, previously chief project actuary at TFP, will take responsibility for the platform’s operations and governance.

Richard Coulson, group president, strategic relationships at The Fidelis Partnership, said: “Peter is a highly respected underwriting leader with an excellent track record of building and developing specialty portfolios.

“His appointment further strengthens Pine Walk’s underwriting proposition and supports our ambition to continue growing the platform while deepening collaboration across The Fidelis Partnership.”

He continued: “Gary’s appointment as Managing Director reflects the increased size and sophistication of the platform. We look forward to Pine Walk’s next phase of growth under their leadership.”

Williams said: “Pine Walk has built a distinctive proposition in the market by combining entrepreneurial underwriting with the infrastructure, governance and support needed to help teams succeed.

“The platform’s growth demonstrates the strength of that model and the quality of the businesses it attracts.”

McInally said: “As we continue to deepen our integration with The Fidelis Partnership, we have an opportunity to further strengthen our governance, underwriting capabilities and support for our underwriting partners.

“I am excited to continue to champion the platform and lead it through the next stage of its development in this new role,” he added.
